Michiyah Simmons C/O ‘22, is a five-year member of the girls Varsity basketball team. She has received multiple awards and recognitions such as First Team All County (4 years straight), Big 8 MVP(‘21), McDonald’s All American nominee and FAB 5.  She led her team at her previous school (Somerset Prep North Lauderdale) to their first State Championship as an 8th grader and subsequently won another state championship her 9th grade year. Michiyah then transferred to Blanche Ely High School where she helped led her team to their first state championship in 28 years. She has been the leading scorer the last 2 years. As a Senior, she average 18 ppg, 5 ast, 7 rpg, and 3 stls. 


Michiyah has received academic recognitions such as academic honor roll, straight A student and top 5% of her class. She is currently dual enrolled at Broward College and holds a 4.2 GPA. She is undecided on which college she will attend.



Jaiyah Harris-Smith was Born December 5, 2002 to Jackie Harris. In high school Jaiyah was a four-year letter-winner and team captain at Norland High School as well as a four-time All-Dade team member. She was a McDonald’s All-American nominee and led her team to a GMAC title game Jaiyah ended her high school career a four-time district champion.


Harris-Smith is now a sophomore at Ole Miss majoring in business administration. She appeared in 18 games coming off the bench and made her first collegiate field goal against Texas Tech. Jaiyah grabbed a career-high three rebounds at Vanderbilt and against New Orleans. Lastly, she dished out a career-high three assists against the Lady Raiders and Privateers averaging 4.8 minutes per game.
